i have a theory that eating disorders, body dysmorphia, gender dysphoria, addiction and substance abuse disorders, and obsessive compulsive disorders are all somehow connected in the brain. because the overlap between these things is so common it cannot be coincidental
i’m calling it the leechs phenotype
i mean in ED treatment we learned that OCD, substance abuse disorders, and EDs are very much connected. also with bpd. and just from experience in ED communities the gender dysphoria aspect is definitely connected too. like this is accepted already
